WW1 Russian Grenadier Private (Rifle Brigade)

In the Autumn of 1915 men were being selected to join assault groups armed predominantly with grenades. Most infantry and rifle regiments would eventually have a grenadier section, who were often armed with carbines, grenades, daggers, or axes for use in assaults on trenches and fortified positions.
